The Guernsey Financial Services Commission has appointed a panel of Queen’s Counsel who will sit as ‘Senior Decision Makers’ and determine the outcome of the Commission’s major enforcement cases. Enforcement cases were previously heard by a ‘Commissioner Decision Committee’ comprising three Commissioners. Richard Millett is currently one of five Queen’s Counsel appointed.
The Commission is the regulatory body for the finance sector in the Bailiwick of Guernsey. The Commission’s primary objective is to regulate and supervise financial services in Guernsey, with integrity, proportionality and professional excellence, and in so doing help to uphold the international reputation of Guernsey as a finance centre.
