Richard Hoyle Becomes Chair of the Young Bar for 2018

4 January, 2018

The members of Essex Court Chambers are delighted to announce that on 1 January 2018, Richard Hoyle became Chair of the Young Bar. He will undertake this part time role in addition to his full time practice at Essex Court Chambers.

All barristers within their first seven years of practice are considered to be part of the Young Bar, and its interests are represented on the Bar Council by the Young Barristers Committee. Its website contains useful resources for junior practitioners: https://youngbarhub.com/.

The Bar Council represents barristers in England and Wales. It promotes the Bar’s high quality specialist advocacy and advisory services, fair access to justice for all, the highest standards of ethics, equality and diversity across the profession, and the development of business opportunities for barristers at home and abroad.
