Prof Malcolm Shaw steps down from Leicester post

Professor Malcolm Shaw QC is taking early retirement from the Sir Robert Jennings Chair of International Law at the University of Leicester at the end of February 2011. This follows his appointments in October 2010 as a Senior Fellow at the Lauterpacht Centre for International Law, University of Cambridge and a Trustee at the British Institute of International and Comparative Law. Shaw has developed an international reputation for advising on a wide range of international law issues including territorial and maritime disputes; state succession; state immunity; recognition of states, and human rights.
