Members of Chambers Participate in FreeBar LGBT Event

31 October, 2017

On 30 October 2017, David Foxton QC (Head of Chambers) and Paul Stanley QC (E&D Officer) attended FreeBar’s (a forum which promotes LGBT and equality and inclusion across the Bar) panel discussion on best practice to address the question “How can Chambers be LGBT+ inclusive?”. There was a large attendance from across the Bar and a lively discussion of how Chambers can best embed values of inclusivity, and demonstrate them to clients, staff, applicants and members.

These are topical questions after the publication of Marc Mason and Steve Vaughan’s research on Sexuality at the Bar https://www.westminster.ac.uk/centre-on-the-legal-profession/projects/sexuality-at-the-bar and an important aspect of our commitment to equality and diversity in general.
