Jern-Fei Ng and David Peters – two of 2012’s ten Stars at the Bar

16 November, 2012

Every year, leading legal publication, Legal Week identifies and profiles the ten “most acclaimed young commercial advocates making their mark” and this year David Peters and Jern-Fei Ng of Essex Court Chambers were among the ten selected.

The results were formed by contacting more than 350 solicitors, barristers, Queen’s Counsel and senior clerks to ascertain their views over a four-week period, with nearly 200 responses. All candidates have to be 10 years’ and under called and a member of the Commercial or Chancery Bar.

Journalist Ben Rigby reports that “Jern-Fei Ng achieves plaudits not just for a span of work notable for both its depth and breadth, but also for a combination of personality and perspicacity that few might match.” In David Peter’s profile it is noted that “One leader called Peters “very able, both client-driven and service-oriented… particularly handy at the commercial/chancery interface” in complex cases.”
