Four awards for Essex Court Chambers at Chambers Bar Awards 2007: International Arbitration Set and Junior; Employment Silk and Commercial Litigation Junior

4 October, 2007

Essex
Court Chambers won four awards at last night’s Chambers and Partners Bar Awards
2007. These awards are the result of extensive and detailed research over the
last 12 months and are the leading awards recognising outstanding barristers
and sets in the UK.
This year’s success again reflects the continuing success and growth of Essex
Court Chambers, whose members are recognised for the depth and breadth of their
expertise in commercial litigation and arbitration and for their appreciation
of the importance of sound client and case management. For the third year
running Essex Court Chambers and its members went home with the International Arbitration Set of the Year Award.
In addition all three nominees for the International
Arbitration Junior of the Year
were members of Essex Court
Chambers. It was, however, Toby Landau, the 2005 winner’s turn to win the
accolade in competition with last year’s winner Sam Wordsworth and fellow
member of chambers, Professor Vaughan Lowe. David Foxton QC, a previous award
winner, was a nominee for Silk in this specialist category. Vernon Flynn was
awarded Commercial Litigation Junior of
the Year
and Andrew Hochhauser QC was named Employment Silk of the Year.
