28 October, 2015

David Grief has been recognised for his many years of service to the clerking profession by being presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Chambers Bar Awards 2015.

With a career spanning almost 45 years, David was one of the first generation of the modern clerk. He is recognised as a pioneer of marketing and business development for the profession and for actively promoting the huge potential of the English Bar in an international context.

Co-Head of Chambers Graham Dunning QC said, “In the world of barrister’s clerks – and well beyond – David Grief has become a legend in his own working life. And rightly so; he has led the field in many ways and given exemplary and outstanding service to the barristers of Essex Court Chambers over the last 35 years – and still is doing so.”

At Essex Court, David has been at the helm since 1980 and shows no signs of slowing down. Members of Chambers would like to offer him their congratulations.
