Join us for this evening panel session ‘Can and should we take arbitration out of two dimensions?’ on Wednesday 3 July, the third in a series of International Arbitration events taking place this year.
You are invited to attend an evening panel session and drinks reception hosted by members of Essex Court Chambers, the third in a series of International Arbitration events taking place this year.
Our expert panel including David Joseph KC, Iain Quirk KC, Adam Board, Claudia Renton and David Baker will discuss the most thorny problems posed by the consensual nature of arbitration and how, if at all, those can or should be resolved.
This discussion will touch on issues of parallel arbitration clauses, joinder, consolidation, veil piercing, res judicata, estoppel and admission of awards in parallel proceedings, with an update on recent caselaw on some of these topics. The panel will explore practical tips in managing parallel proceedings across different tribunals and in concurrent arbitration and litigation, drawing on our speakers’ personal experiences – together with some key strategic considerations in those situations.
The event will take place in person at The View in The Royal College of Surgeons. Registration will start at 6pm, with drinks served, the panel session at 6.30pm – 7.30pm, and followed by a drinks reception.
If you would like to register for updates on the series and attend this third event, please contact events@essexcourt.com.
In-person attendance is limited and will be allocated on a first-come basis.
