Members of Essex Court Chambers are deeply saddened to announce that Sir Anthony Colman passed away peacefully in hospital on 28 July 2017.
Sir Anthony joined Essex Court Chambers in 1962. He served as High Court judge of the commercial court from 1992 to 2007, and was Presiding judge from 2006 to 2007. He was a former Deputy Chief Justice of the DIFC Court in Dubai from 2010-2013. He was also a founder member of COMBAR and a former Chair (1991-1992).
He will be greatly missed by friends and colleagues in Chambers.
