Professor Chester Brown, who is Professor of International Law and International Arbitration at Sydney Law School, the University of Sydney, Australia, is an Overseas Member of Essex Court Chambers.  Professor Brown practices, teaches and researches in the fields of public international law, international arbitration, international investment law, international trade law and general commercial matters.  Professor Brown is qualified as a barrister in New South Wales, Australia.  He does not exercise rights of audience in the Courts of England and Wales and does not accept instructions through the clerks to appear as counsel in those Courts.  Professor Brown is not subject to the Legal Ombudsman Scheme, and is not regulated by the Bar Standards Board.
