Essex Court Success at Chambers Bar Awards 2016

28 October, 2016

Essex Court Chambers collected the award for International Arbitration Set of the Year at last night’s Chambers Bar Awards, for the 12th consecutive year.

The awards are based on research for the 2017 edition of Chambers UK Bar and reflect pre-eminence in key practice areas within sets of Chambers. They also reflect notable achievements over the past 12 months including outstanding work, impressive strategic growth and excellence in client service.

James Willan won International Arbitration Junior of the Year, following a busy year. As well as a number of ongoing, confidential, arbitrations and complex enforcement disputes, James will be heading to the Supreme Court in February 2017 to challenge the power of the English courts to require security before an award debtor can resist enforcement on public policy grounds.
