Members of Essex Court Chambers are pleased to announce several promotions within the Essex Court clerking team which will take effect from today, Monday 31 January 2022.
- Ollie Butcher who joined us in 2013, has been promoted to Team Leader.
- Karl Alsleben who joined us over 10 years ago has been promoted as a Team Leader’s Assistant.
- Demi Woolger has been promoted to a Team Leader’s Assistant, following a successful year as a Junior Clerk.
These three promotions represent an operational restructure responding to an expansion of Chambers including in consequence of new tenants following successful completion of their pupillages, a number of cross-recruits, five silk appointments in 2021 and six silk appointments this year. As a result, the clerking team has been restructured to ensure an optimum level of service and support is provided to members and clients.
