Essex Court Chambers’ James Willan has been selected, as one of only 10 barristers, in The Lawyer Hot 100 2016. The leading legal publication today unveiled its Hot 100 list for 2016, which names the “best lawyers in the business”.
The Lawyer describes James as “one of the big names at the bar in civil fraud and banking and finance litigation, despite only being 10 years’ call.”
The article goes on to describe James’ practice, stating that, “Willan’s instructions see him going above and beyond traditional junior mandates, being brought in by top silks on strategic case management and coming up with those “clever points of law” that take the case where it needs to be, according to one of his peers.”
James was called to the Bar in 2006 and has developed a broad commercial practice with a particular focus on substantial commercial disputes including civil fraud and banking/finance.
