The members of Essex Court Chambers are delighted to have been shortlisted in the Chambers of the Year category at The Lawyer Awards 2016.
The last year has seen the members of Essex Court Chambers maintain and strengthen their leading position in Commercial Litigation and International Arbitration, but also commit to further raising their profile in specialist, complementary areas such as banking & finance, offshore, civil fraud and employment.
High profile and complex commercial disputes continue to be at the core of the set’s strengths. Members have cemented their international presence, including having significant speaking roles at high-profile events and conferences around the world. International business development trips have taken place to Geneva, Miami, New York, Washington, Bermuda, Singapore, Hong Kong, Nairobi, Lagos, Djibouti, Dubai and Mauritius.
It was also a year that saw two junior members of chambers, Anton Dudnikov and Catherine Jung, named as ‘Stars at the Bar’ in a Legal Week feature.
Joe Ferrigno was promoted to Joint Senior Clerk in January 2016, bringing him and David Grief together to lead Essex Court Chambers forward with an innovative approach.
The Lawyer Awards celebrates excellence across private practice, the public sector, commerce and industry, and the Bar. Now in its 22nd year, The Lawyer Awards has established itself as a leading awards initiative within the legal sector.
The ceremony is to take place on 29th June 2016 in London.
