Now in its 5th year, applications are currently open for the 2015/2016 ECC-SAL International Mooting Competition Jointly hosted by members of Essex Court Chambers and the Singapore Academy of Law, the competition presents an ideal opportunity for young lawyers to showcase and hone their skills as advocates. Following four successful editions of the competition since 2012, the contest this year is open to young advocates from Australia, Brunei, Hong Kong, India, Malaysia, Singapore, New Zealand and South Korea. The Final will take place in Singapore on Tuesday 12 January 2016.
The competition is open to lawyers and legal service officers who have been qualified for practice for no more than three years as of 1 January 2016. Teams can consist of mooters from the same or different law firms and organisations, with each participating firm or organisation asked to submit no more than two teams.
